Vodaphone becomes Glastonbury's new connectivity partner

Vodafone has signed a new multi-year partnership with Glastonbury music festival.

The telecoms company will serve as the festival’s connectivity partner from 2023 onwards.

A new official Glastonbury app will be launched from 2023 – presented by Vodaphone – which will provide users with a range of new features.

Vodaphone said the new features would use its connectivity technology to bring users “innovative experiences”.

The network at Glastonbury’s Worthy Farm location will be boosted by Vodaphone’s “highest capacity ever”, enabling festival-goers to stay connected and for those watching at home to stream live events without disruption.

With data consumption nearly doubling at the festival from 2019 to 2022, fast and reliable connectivity is more important than ever, Vodaphone said.

“Our new partnership with Glastonbury adds another iconic British Brand to our partnership portfolio,” commented Max Taylor, Vodaphone’s chief commercial officer.

He added: ““We can’t wait to get started and deliver on our ambition of making Glastonbury the most connected festival in the world.”
