Tails.com rolls out delivery platform

Tails.com, the British pet food subscription provider, has announced the launch of a new delivery platform.

Founded in Richmond in 2014, Tails.com delivers tailored nutrition to thousands of dogs every month as part of a "data-driven" subscription service.

The expanding business said it has rolled out the platform, developed by Metapack, to ensure the company's shipping operations match its "reputation for innovation" and "customer-first approach."

Through the new platform, the retailer's customers have a greater shipping choice and price transparency at checkout.

The technology, which has equipped Tails.com with real-time data and operational insights, is also designed to drive down fulfilment costs at the company by speeding up shipping, reducing failed deliveries, and improving purchase conversion rates at checkout.

Maxime Thomas, head of UK operations at Tails.com explained that streamlining the company's tech stack with the platform has "significantly" improved its visibility across the entire distribution journey "from fulfilment through to final delivery."

"The platform’s transparency and reliability position Tails.com to be more agile and responsive to opportunities within the courier market,” she continued.

Thomas added that enhanced insights have also helped its data-driven decisions to "proactively address issues."

"As a result, we can ensure the accuracy of our delivery promise to consistently uphold a customer-first experience that strengthens loyalty," said Thomas.

The platform includes a range of personalised services, including delivery options to tracking and returns, through a catalogue of over 400 carriers and more than 4,900 services.
