Relaunch of Pharmacy2U platform brings together NHS and private services

Pharmacy2U has announced the relaunch of its Online Doctor Platform.

The company, which describes itself as the UK’s largest digital pharmacy, said the platform is now powered by e-commerce software provider BigCommerce and integrated with content management system Storyblok.

The update has brought together NHS and private services onto a unified commerce platform for the company's 1.4 million patients.

According to the online pharmacy, the new platform also includes a more streamlined process for reordering repeat prescriptions, as well as a new Health Hub which offers personalised health tracking and advice, whilst integrating advanced NHS tools.

John Acland, consumer health and online doctor director, Pharmacy2U said that rolling out new technology marks a significant milestone in the company's "journey to digital excellence".

"By leveraging these technologies, we are setting a new standard for online healthcare, providing our users with unparalleled convenience and reliability in managing their health," continued Acland. “The new platform not only speeds up the consultation process but also ensures that each patient’s treatment plan is as accessible as their health records and pharmacy orders.

"This holistic approach aims to enhance patient adherence and satisfaction by making health management more intuitive and less time-consuming.”
