AllSaints launches Google Workspace AI tools across teams worldwide

British clothing retailer AllSaints has launched Google Workspace AI tools across its teams worldwide as it seeks to boost its teams' AI capabilities, the firm said on Monday.

Google Workspace AI tools include AI capabilities available primarily through its Gemini assistant in apps such as Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Meet and Chat.

The tools are designed to accelerate operational processes, including automated drafting, meeting summaries and providing data insights.

The company has also announced the launch of a masterclass programme designed to equip the retailer's workforce with the knowledge they need to use AI in their day-to-day operations.

Global director of transformation at AllSaints Alfie Meekings said the move forms part of the retailer’s wider transformation strategy.

“At AllSaints, one of the four pillars of our transformation vision is to create an environment where we can be data-driven and powered by AI,” he continued.

Meekings shared details about the launch of its AI Academy in partnership with Cambridge Spark, an internal academy aimed at teaching deeper AI concepts to its teams for a deeper understanding of AI.

The internal academy will team a variety of subjects, from concepts exploring AI potential, to some more technical skills such as prompt engineering and how to use AI to drive ROI.

“Our belief is that if we empower our people with the tools and knowledge to experiment with AI in a safe environment, they will find the best ways to evolve our ways of working,” Meekings said.

Cambridge Spark is a UK-based edTech firm that specialises in providing data science and AI training.

It offers a range of programmes designed to upskill professionals in data and AI such as AI & Data Apprenticeships programmes, online learning platforms, and advanced apprenticeships.

In March, Lloyds Banking Group’s senior management team also said it embarked on a six-month training programme with the edTech firm to further strengthen the organisation’s AI capabilities, with over 200 senior leaders at the financial firm taking part in the training.
